Updates and Releases from TVF
Mrf
So right now I’ve got the server up and running with cPanel on it. The problem is, there’s not much I can do.
Yes, I have backups from last week, but I REALLY need the latest backups from our old datacenter, and those f*ckers haven’t replied to me in several days. Tomorrow I’m going to be calling them during my lunch break at work or something. Beg to them to let me access the files…
Anyways, I’m down to $260 in my personal bank account, seeing as how I had to spend over $400 of my personal savings to pay for the server’s cPanel license. Also, I have to go buy new pants tomorrow between my classes, since all of my jeans (all four of them) have holes in the crotch.
Anywho, here’s my to-do list for the next couple of days:
-Beg from Burst (our old datacenter)
-Get backups
-Restore TVF
-Restore TVF SQL Database
-Restore all other sites
-Restore email accounts on server
-Tweak /etc/my.cnf file for new server.
-Tweak /etc/csf/csf.*
-Sleep
-Eat
-Get paid
-Work 40+ hours/week
-Get paid just above minimum wage
-Be abused by customers
-Be abused by PMS’ing (no offense to women) bosses
-Get oil change
-Buy pants
-Buy work shirts
-Email current datacenter and see about getting a 4th IP address
-Make girlfriend happy
-Get ACE to read this and Twitter before asking me stupid questions
-42.

Wow man that’s just lame, especially to someone who’s trying very hard to get TVF back up and running.
Maybe it’s time to get a new job and a better datacenter.

^, We are using a new datacenter O.o.
Why can’t we use backups which are 15hours old? or have I mistaken something. :S

Unfortunately we only have backups of TVF’s database which are 15 hours old. The PHP files are all a week and a half old (for some reason that backup wasn’t working properly) and I need the my.cnf file that we were using in order to get TVF’s database to work properly. Otherwise I have to recreate the my.cnf file from scratch, and that could take a very long time.
Guest, I HAVE a girlfriend, thank you very much.

i logged into a warez site i’ve never been to, never signed up for, and never heard of. magically, i can log in w/ my username and password that i use for tvf, and i have all the same messages that i had in tvf. lets hope that doesn’t happen again.

@vex390, report this site to Mac, he’ll get it shut down.
Clearly they have the old TVF database with you ‘registered on it’.
That’s the only way. 1 in a billion on a random forum your password and username will match.

just recieved an interesting email from your accounting department saysing my premium account is about to expire and I need to get it paid and renewed or else. I replyed how can you pay for something that is currently offline. I know you are hard at work putting the new server up but might I suggest you might want to let them know to not bill people untill after you are up again. I am supposed to be getting a good sized check end of next week will see what I can do to my part in helping your financial worries.
