Alright, so after emailing back and forth with our datacenter, they’ve narrowed down our downtime to two main causes:
1) The CPU was overheating. Yup, even after three new hardware sets, the CPU kept overheating, and now there’s a new heatsink and cooling fan on it.
2) We were running out of swap space. My guess? MySQL More >

From the looks of things the server is still down as you may all know that. Mac is really working hard on trying to fix the server as well as the forum. We are happy that you guys are sticking with us through this.
I just want everyone to know that when this is all set More >

Alright, so I’m starting to pull my hair out here…
After everything’s said and done, it seems that not only was the firewall messing up everything, but now there’s something up with MySQL. So now I’m talking with our datacenter in Pennsylvania, CPanel in Texas (The manufacturer of our server’s control panel), and InvisionPower in Virginia More >

Alright, so here’s the basic breakdown:
One of our most powerful firewalls, CSF+LFD, was freaking out and for some reason would pop the CPU usage to 100% and the serverload to 20+
(basic translation of serverload: Linux serverload is x number of processes waiting to get into the CPU per second on average over the More >

So we kinda-sorta got the server working, still waiting on our datacenter to restore full access, but we’re opening up the forum. From the looks of things, our best and most powerful firewall might have been causing the server lockups. Trust me, I’m looking into EVERY possibility here… And yes, tech support does work weekends.

So we got the server back up by disabling one of our firewalls, but now it seems that the *awesome* technician at the datacenter somehow changed our server’s root password AND made CPanel think it’s not licensed, so right now I’m on the phone trying to get that fixed. I put TVF in Offline Mode More >

Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the server or anything. But our datacenter’s workers are being… Pricks. Haven’t replied to me in about an hour, and all I asked them to do is try to reboot… What it looks like we might have to do is rebuild the operating system after I get into the More >
