Having problems accessing TVF? Check your hosts file…
Mar 27th
Some people have reported problems viewing The Viper Files.
Here is a suggestion. First off always check your Antivirus/Firewall. Sometimes they will block our website since we are hosted in the Netherlands.
But what I made this post about was to check the hosts file. You may have edited this at one time to ‘force’ your computer to use the specified IP address for theviperfiles instead of waiting for your DNS cache to update.
Do a “Google” search on how to edit the hosts file, but here is a quick run through:

Hosts file is located..
Start –> Run –> %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\
the “hosts” file in there. open with notepad as administrator to edit. make sure its not read only also.

Hope to have helped out some people!
Regards and have a good weekend + Spring Break + Easter week.

Update

Here’s the scoop:
the host tried to update the citrix xen and has completely corrupted everything.
We now have to go back to a backup from 2/20/10
I am extremely apologetic to everyone on this issue everyone including the VIPs :/ I will be working with everyone to consolidate the losses
thanks everyone.

Downtime of slightly less than one hour was experienced tonight. I am not sure what was the cause of the problem but I was finally able to power down / boot up the VPS again.
Sorry! but it coulda been worse
