Updates and Releases from TVF
Update
Here’s the scoop:
the host tried to update the citrix xen and has completely corrupted everything.
We now have to go back to a backup from 2/20/10
I am extremely apologetic to everyone on this issue everyone including the VIPs :/ I will be working with everyone to consolidate the losses

Well, at least you have a backup from Feb. 20th, it’s better than nothing.

maybe next time we should have weekly backups? if that is feasible. we still support this great tvf community.

yeah i know, i don’t know what I was thinking.
I just hate taking the site down to make a backup, but i guess the 10-15 downtime to download is better than the negative end result.

Hey Viper,
Glad to see you guys figured out the issue… Feb 20th isn’t bad at all considering the alternative. But,if you are still looking for a more recent back up like a week at a time. Pick a day that is suitable for you and your admins and Stick with it. No exceptions. At first some may complain but, eventually they will all know that (eg. Monday between 12:00 and 12:30) the site will not be avaiilable. I have only been a part of this site for a few weeks now now and have benefited alot. So no complaints here fellas…. Looking forward to getting my window 7 today. I have been waiting for it. ahahaha. Later.

we are currently importing the database , and its quite big so might take 1-2 hours.

Ok, I’m steamed (not really – just kidding around)! Today is my birthday and I’ve been waiting all year long to see my name at the bottom of the TVF page, wishing me a happy birthday
) So when does the site go down? On my danged birthday! I think there’s a conspiracy. Tsk, tsk, not a nice way to treat an old man. Oh well, I guess it gives me a reason to live another year 
If it’s down again next year though, I’m reaching through this screen…
You’re doing fine Viper. Nobody’s dying ‘cause the sites down. Keep up the good work – I appreciate your efforts.

The website is up and running just fine — if you are a “new-ish” registry from Feb20-March13 you will have to re-register.
If you are still having problems logging in and you have an account that’s made before that I can help you with that as well.
I have also sent this to you via email.
