Downtime of slightly less than one hour was experienced tonight. I am not sure what was the cause of the problem but I was finally able to power down / boot up the VPS again.

Sorry! but it coulda been worse

Sorry TVF! A database table had crashes and I repaired it as soon as I got home! No data lost either

We just have no news to report .. Which, is probably a good thing..

We have now successfully moved to the new VPS.

Please allow for your DNS to update, or if you have the hosts file edited please unedit / re-edit it w/ our new IP.

This has gone very smooth and I am very satisfied..

You should see a Offline message on the old board, along with some suggestions about how to be able to see us on our new server.

Well I have purchased the new VPS and they have put the old VPS online.

I am not sure whether I actually have to move from one VPS to the other, but if we do that will take just a little time and I will move backups from one VPS to the next.

B/c as of right now the site is up..

I don’t exactly know all of the facts.. But I will tell you as much as I know.

From my understanding, our current VPS provider was bought out by the parent company (b/c they were having problems I believe) and they were then shut off sometime Sunday. I received an email saying something similar.

I have purchased a similar VPS from the new provider (the parent company) and they put us back online (a little after when I purchased it). I am not sure if we will actually keep this IP and VPS or if we will move a little bit to the new IP and VPS.

Also, as some people have already stated, everyone has downtime, its not just us. You can take a look at some of the biggest forums out there.. I believe forumw was down for upwards of 75% of the summer (3 months-ish) w/ maintenance. It just happens. We believe we are one of the best at handling it.. I know I try very hard to minimize and speed up the downtime. .. So to those who support us, thanks

Once again the server company from which we purchased has decided to go under, but the parent company has the backups and I am planning on purchasing from them. We should be back very soon once I purchase and get everything set up.

Sorry for the downtime guys.. Its out of my control and not my fault.

We were down from about 5 CST time to about 11CST.. It looks like a DB table failed, and I have repaired it and we are all good

I wasn’t on to fix it b/c I had another personal commitment i had to attend to, so don’t think that I am just deserting you guys!
